Brazil is experiencing a moment of great transformation of the energy sector, with an expressive advance of renewable sources in the national electric matrix. According to the Brazilian Association of Wind Energy [Associação Brasilera de Energia Eólica - ABEEólica], wind energy, for example, grew 14% in the last year, and today is the country's second source of energy, with 15 GW of installed capacity.

The project we will feature next will develop and test short-term wind power generation forecast systems, especially designed for the Brazilian market. The objective will be to enable an improvement in the integration of wind energy production in the Brazilian grid, which could minimize problems such as energy instability and enable a reduction in energy prices.
